Unless there is going clarification in the future chapters there are a few flaws in the story so far

1. as it is clearly day time time TV (by the time table of the advert being showing tonight) the US must have broadcasting rules similar to the UK where there is no nudity before the watershed (2100hrs in the UK) The TV company could lose its broadcasting licence.

This is a heightened, near-fantastical world (though not a Sci-Fi/Fantasy category one) where every woman wants to see Tim nude...the series remains true to its own internal logic, but it's never going to be "realistic", as the whole premise prevents that. Kernow, this series is never going to conform to the real-world structures that you place upon it. Maybe just accept that, and find stories more to your liking?
