Could have done without the gay rape turn the story is taking. Also it seems excessive, cruel, and short sighted, to have these guys who have lived for centuries to be killed off. If the male population is failing, wouldn't these guys give humanity a much needed genetic boost as well, which is why they were preserved in the first place.
