Marie's other concern was not wanting to spend the eternity of her spiritual life among strangers. The four coeds talked with Melody and Bertha several times about Marie wishing to lie on permanent rest among friends. So, Melody suggested Marie's final rest be on the small rise overlooking the pond in the mostly wooded area of their property. Melody and Bertha had approval from the Town/County government for Marie's burial there, especially since this was their private property.
