With that, Aaron gets all excited and shouts, "Da Da Da Da," while clapping his hands. Jill smiles at me when he says that and then gets up.
"I must get going, the washing machine would have finished by now, and I need to get it on the line." She delicately puts her hand on my shoulder. "Don't be a total stranger," she says in a low voice.
We walk back into the lounge, and she puts Aaron back in his pushchair. "I'll see you before I leave," I say as I open the door.
I get another smile before she makes her way home. As I watch her cross the road, I can't help but feel that one of the chapters of my life is just about to close.

Great read. I have read all your stories now and I like this one the most. I think its because the characters all have flaws and you explore them more. I agree with lots of the other comments, we have Charlie and Bec and I wonder where you will take us next . Looking forward to the next instalment.
